In an Austrian market filled lots of unusual and little known grape varieties, The Dot, created by winemaker Roman Pfaffl Jr., was introduced in 2008 to provide a clear message: Austrian wine is simple and delicious. The Dot range of wines come from the Pfaffl Winery, who received a nomination for European Winery of the Year (2016) from Wine Enthusiast Magazine. This innovative, young and smart brand is a sensation on the Austrian and international wine market with focus on Gruner Veltliner, Zweigelt and St. Laurent — the most important varieties of Lower Austria.
The Austrian Pepper is very ripe, juicy pear notes with a hint of yeast. The palate is refreshing but supple; white pepper, pear skins and grapefruit with a lovely, moreish and lip-smacking finish.
