The Dot Austrian Cherry, Zweigelt, Pfaffl Winery

In an Austrian market filled lots of unusual and little known grape varieties, The Dot, created by winemaker Roman Pfaffl Jr., was introduced in 2008 to provide a clear message: Austrian wine is simple and delicious. The Dot range of wines come from the Pfaffl Winery, who received a nomination for European Winery of the Year (2016) from Wine Enthusiast Magazine. This innovative, young and smart brand is a sensation on the Austrian and international wine market with focus on Gruner Veltliner, Zweigelt and St. Laurent — the most important varieties of Lower Austria.
The Dot Austrian Cherry has pronounced fresh cherry and sour cherry aromas with spice notes. Round and juicy on the palate, with flavours of dark cherry and spice against a backdrop of soft tannins.
