Lyme Bay Winery is the home of LBW Drinks. A small, dedicated drinks company full of people who are passionate about producing delicious and award-winning English Wine in Devon’s beautiful Axe Valley. Each of these amazing products is fermented, blended and aged, as appropriate, right here at the Winery under the supervision of our experienced team.
They are the only English Winery to achieve an A* accreditation for manufacturing quality from the British Retail Consortium (BRC) ensuring that all their products are crafted to the highest standards. They source grapes for their English Wines from select growers across the country so can confidently claim to make the best wines from the best grapes from the best growers – every time. Since opening their doors 25 years ago Lyme Bay have gone from strength to strength.
The Shoreline is a fresh, complex, quintessentially English, dry white wine. An excellent match for seafood dishes. Shoreline is a blend of beautiful cool climate varieties, with each of the parcels fermented separately with different yeast strains & temperatures to make several complex layers of flavours & aromas. Upon completion, the different vats were assessed for potential and characteristics, then blended together in the optimum proportions. The resulting Shoreline blend was aged for several months on fine lees to improve preserve freshness.
The Shoreline has a complex floral nose with added hints of pineapple & lime. On the palate it is well-balanced with crisp acidity & complex layers. Bright flavours of lemon and lime with a background of nettle, herbaceous notes. And refreshingly low in alcohol at 11.5% abv.
