Sarah & Sparky Marquis have built their latest brand, ‘Mollydooker’, after ten years working on other projects. These wines come from some of the best grape growing regions, McLaren Vale, Langhorne Creek & Padthaway in South Australia. The grapes are hand selected their finest vineyards and these wines are a true testament to their commitment to excellence in the winery and our vineyard program. The award-winning wines from Mollydooker include Carnival of Love, Enchanted Path and The Boxer. There are several other tremendous wines in the portfolio. The wines are very distinctive and made in the unique Mollydooker Fashion. Full of flavour and body and aerated in the unique fashion of the Mollydooker shake. The business is family owned and is now run by Sarah with the help of her children.
Mollydooker Winery is an exciting, out of left field winery in the heart of McLaren Vale, South Australia. The vineyards are situated on the magical Seaview Ridge which, with its ancient soils and Mediterranean climate, is home to some of the most iconic Australian wines. Along the Enchanted Path they have been awarded Telstra South Australian Business of the Year, Australian Winemakers of the Year, Australian Boutique Winemakers of the Year, and many more. The wines are characterised not only by amazing flavours but also personalised names, plucked from the life experiences of the family, and paired up with the style and richness of the juices.
Mollydooker Enchanted Path displays an inky deep colour with dense hues. The journey begins with fragrant bright red fruit on the nose, followed by deeper tones of blackberry and plum jam on the palate. Well guided by precise tannins, these flavours will fully entertain your senses, giving the wine phenomenal length. The captivating interplay between the Shiraz and Cabernet provides a sophisticated mix of plum and mocha, walking beside raspberry and clove.
The grapes were grown on the Gateway and Rivers Lane vineyards in McLaren Vale. Barrel fermented and matured in 95% American and 5% French oak using 85% new and 15% one year old barrels.
