Lunazul’s story began with Francisco Beckmann Senior. A seventh generation descendent of the Beckmann family — the oldest dynasty of tequila producers — he set out on a mission to create the world’s finest 100% agave Tequila.
Grown in the rich, red clay of Jalisco for over 250 years, the 100% Blue Weber agave plants are tended and cared by master agave growers. The agave piñas are slow cooked to produce sugars that create the rich, clean flavours and aroma of Lunazul Tequila. Once roasted, the agave piñas are shredded and rinsed, leaving only the pure agave sugar, which is then prepared for fermentation. The agave sugars are combined with our proprietary yeast, a family strain used for generations that comes directly from the agave plants and soil on the estate. The yeast consumes the sugars, converting the agave syrup into a young tequila. Each batch is distilled twice in copper coil
stills, where the Master Tequilero crafts each batch to create a smooth and pure flavour.
Lunazul Tequila Blanco is exceptionally smooth and balanced with bright colour and a platinum cast. Refreshing fruity nose exhibiting tropical and apple notes with a healthy dose of salt and citrus, similar to that of fresh agave. The palate is semi-viscous and peppery with ripe fruit tones giving way to crisp citrus notes and a hint of vanilla. Wonderfully balanced finish with long lasting citrusy, peppery, and herbaceous notes.
