Le Petit Bonheur, Prunier Bonheur, Coteaux Bourguignons

In 1999 Pascal Prunier married Christine Bonheur, and they immediately decided to rename the estate Domaine Prunier Bonheur. Based around Meursault, the estate now covers 8 ha made up of plots of diverse sizes in the communes of Saint Romain, Auxey Duresses, Meursault, Monthelie, Pommard and Beaune, a wide range of terroirs which makes the work of crafting wines from each terroir exciting.

Pascal questioned whether chemical products were necessary and how to do without them in the nineties. He then began to plow the soil again and systematically reduce the doses and frequency of treatments, favouring as much as possible the transition to organic farming.

The parcel for this Le Petit Bonheur is near Meursault and has old vines of Chardonnay. It has poor, shallow, fast-draining, very rocky soil perfectly reproducing the conditions of a hillside. Producing a wine that is pale yellow in colour. Fermented and aged in oak barrels. Very low dose of Sulphites.

The nose is floral and fruity with lemony notes. The palate is full with a broad and indulgent attack but retain a fresh and mineral finish.
