Telmo Rodriguez is known as one of Spain’s most innovative young producers. In a few years he has made a name right at the top of the Spanish elite with his excellent ground breaking wines. Gathering experience all over the world including California you can see these wineries influence on his winemaking style. Telmo operate as far as possible by organic and biodynamic guidelines, and his wines are produced without the use of chemical fertilizers, herbicides or pesticides. In 2010 Telmo took over operation of the family vineyard. Gaba do Xil Valdeorras Valdeorras located in Galicia in north-western Spain down towards the river Xil. He has again found a “forgotten” grape of very old vines in an unfamiliar area and the result is excellent.
Fresh pear and peach fruit with a herbal quality sits over a rich texture. A touch of ginger spice with balancing acidity make this wine a real star. Fresh and delicious.
