One of the most exciting producers in South Africa. Grapes spend 30 days on the skins with a delicate pressing. Aged in oak for 22 months it has flavours of ripe blackcurrant and spice. A rich, succulent wine with smooth, fine tannins. The great concentration and fine tannins will ensure that it will only become more complex with age.
Waterkloof achieved Biodiversity Champion status in 2008 which complements and integrates many key principles of biodynamic farming they have since converted the vineyard to these practices and in 2012 full certification was complete.
