Now run by the third generation, Sébastien, the Robert family own 30 hectares of vineyards situated around Voigny and six other communes in the north of the Aube region. The ‘house’ of Bernard Robert is one of the oldest in the Cotes des Bar. The soil is chalk and limestone, the average age of the vines is 35 years and they practice a strict form of lutte raisonnée.
The Champagne Bernard Robert, Rosé Champagne is 85% Chardonnay and 15% Pinot Noir vinified in Coteau Champenois Rouge. (The Champagne region’s people’s red wine). From the start, this vintage shouts out with its beautiful intense rose colour.
This delightful Rosé Champagne has an enticing nose with its delicate aromas of red fruits. In the mouth we find gourmet aromas of pomegranate, raspberries and red currants in an atmosphere plump and fresh.
Food and wine pairing: with an appetizer and throughout a main course composed of delicately dried, sliced meats (charcuterie), grills, delicate wild game, lightly smoked fish as well as sweet and savoury or spicy exotic dishes. Perfect with fresh fruit desserts such as Strawberry or Raspberry Charlotte.
