Bourgogne Pinot Noir Les Maladières, Domaine Chevillon-Chezeaux

Domaine Chevillon-Chezeaux owns 1.17 hectares of this fine vineyard that lies below the Nuits premier cru of Les Roncières. Much of it is classified as Nuits Saint Georges but the Chevillon vines are in the lower section and only allowed the Bourgogne appellation.

Its terroirs are often very close to the most renowned vineyards (sometimes just a few dozen or hundred meters away). They are located on the foothills of the slopes, in a limestone environment, with variations of clay and marl, stony or even rocky, well-drained and where water stagnates little.

The Bourgogne Pinot Noir Les Maladières opens on the nose with fresh cherry, blackcurrant, blueberry, evolving to cooked plum, with hints of pepper, animal notes, forest floor, moss, and mushroom. The palate expresses itself with soft and silky tannins over bright red fruits, allowing it to be enjoyed while young. Fineness and aromatic freshness abound.
