The grapes are mechanically harvested at night. They are de-stemmed and then undergo a traditional vinification: daily pumping over to extract the colour, tannins and aromas. Fermentation lasts around 2 weeks before running-off, racking and pressing. Maturation is carried out in concrete tanks.
This Petit Verdot is classically deep purple with violet hints. There is an intense and powerful nose, characterised by hints of ripe blackberry and black cherry. The palate is juicy, packed with fruit and a touch of spice and bay, with a fine texture and beautiful tannic structure. Long and powerful. A joy to drink – a big hug of juicy plum, blackberry and black cherry fruit, a whiff of violets, a dash of spicy liquorice and a splash of black tapenade.
