Les Chatillons Pinot Gris Rosé, Reuilly, Denis Jamain

Domaine de Reuilly is located right in the heart of the appellation of Reuilly, in the Loire Valley. Using sustainable farming methods and lutte raisonée since 1997 Denis Jamain is producing wine with methods that respect the land with minimal intervention. In the early 90s, Denis Jamain decided out of passion for the vineyard to take up the torch and acquire a beautiful set of plots in the town of Reuilly, a real starting point for the development of the Domaine.

After leading the operation in sustainable management for many years, he converted to organic farming in 2007 (certified by Veritas) and biodynamy in 2011 (certified by Demeter). The Estate of Denis Jamain has four main places called: Les Coignons, Les Pierres Plates, Les Chatillons, Les Conges, on which 14 ha of White Sauvignon, 5 ha of Pinot noir and 4 ha of Pinot gris are planted.

This beautiful pale Reuilly Pinot Gris has a lovely salmon tint, characteristic of skin contact of the grape variety. Aging in stainless steel vats on fine lees for 5 months.

On the nose it is has nice aromatic intensity dominated by pear, lychee and passion fruit. This rosé shows great finesse and roundness with a touch of candy and a subtle flintiness on the finish.
