Having practiced a ‘reasonable agriculture’ for many years, Christine and Daniel Chaussy, the 5th generation of winemakers in the family, officially began the conversion to Organic Farming in 2009. The 2012 vintage was the first certified as ‘Organic’.
The La Chaussynette is a blend of Grenache and Syrah and has aromas and flavours of stewed strawberries, ripe mulberries, and plums with a touch of mint, fennel, garrigue, and a salty minerality. Medium bodied with grippy tannins, with an uptick of acidity which will aid this wine in developing for another ten years.
