Made by Master of Wine Michael Brajkovich, the Kumeu River Kumeu Crémant is a delicious dry sparkling that has impressed all that have tasted the wine. As the saying goes, there should always be a bottle of bubbles in the fridge for a special occasion …sometimes that special occasion is that you have a bottle of bubbles in the fridge!
Kumeu River, Kumeu Cremant is made up of 60% Chardonnay, with the balancing 40% being Pinot Noir. Bone dry with lots of citrus fruit up front. The mid palate is quite yeasty and biscuity with a hint of honey and cream on the finish. It was aged on the lees from over 24 months and is a bone dry with an elegant body and lingering finish.
