The Kozlovic winery family have been making wine in the Istrian region of Croatia since 1904. Teran grape is of red grape native to Istria in Croatia. It is a late ripening variety and grows in large clusters with densely packed berries. The vine requires a lot of sun to ripen fully, so the long, warm autumns of Croatia suit it perfectly.
The Kozlovic Teran is a fresh and medium bodied red wine with a combination of black fruits and bitter chocolate, with earthy tannins reminiscent of Refosco from Northern Italy.
