Château Los Boldos Tradition Réserve Merlot is a great value wine that always goes down well, and won’t break the bank!
Los Boldos has 170 hectares of vineyards which benefit from a Mediterranean style climate. The nearby Cachapoal river moderates temperatures, while stony alluvial soils in the vineyard ensure low yields. Château Los Boldos was founded in 1991 and is situated 100km south of Santiago in the foothills of the Cachapoal Andes. In 2014 Château Los Boldos were fully certified as Sustainable Wine of Chile in the three available aspects: Vineyard, Winery and Social aspect. It is their way of showing a continuous commitment to respect and protect the natural resources and the environment, as well as to assure the wellness and improve the community´s quality of life.
This Merlot is bright ruby-red in colour, with aromas of sour cherries, blackberries, blackcurrants and a hint of vanilla. On the palate, the wine is balanced with velvety tannins and a soft, elegant finish.
