Château La Mascaronne is located in the village of Le Luc en Provence, on a sumptuous ring-shaped site where Nature seems perfectly intact. Unparalleled, the views of the estate’s age-old stone-walled terraces, magnificent hilly contours and borders of olive trees are truly breathtaking. Convinced by the potential of La Mascaronne, Michel Reybier purchased the estate in 2020. He is also the owner of Cos d’Estournel, a Second Growth in Saint-Estèphe, Domaine Impérial Tokaj-Hétszölö, the Jeeper champagne house and La Réserve hotels in Paris, Geneva, Zurich and Ramatuelle.
Château La Mascaronne Rosé reveals the essence of the terroir from which it is produced. An exceptional rosé, it derives its quality not only from the grape varieties that comprise its blend but also from the soils on which the estate’s grapevines are planted. The Grenache, Cinsault, Syrah, Vermentino and Mourvèdre grapes, typical Provence varieties, are harvested at the height of ripeness.
When enjoyed young, Château La Mascaronne Rosé is delightful before or with a meal. But it is also marvellous after several years of aging, a more unusual feat for a rosé wine. The wine’s luminous pink hue makes it immediately identifiable as a Provence wine and is like a foretaste of the luscious, complex aromas of fresh, ripe fruit that it delivers.
Classic Provencal style – wild strawberries, raspberries and redcurrants on the nose. Peaches and redcurrants on the palate. Energetic, pure and mineral wine with delicious freshness and a long finish.
With remarkably low yields and hand harvesting into small containers, Mascaronne practice sustainability in all aspects of their vineyard management and winemaking processes. They are now fully certified as organic.
